Young Workers Will Not Be Frozen Out!

The Young Worker March on Washington had its origins at a National Meeting of young federal and DC government workers in 2025. Dr. Kendrick Roberson (National Vice President of the AFGE union), Aaron Barker (Chair of the AFGE young worker program), and AFGE's young leadership were fed up with the living conditions of young workers in the United States. AFGE's young leadership began reaching out to other young worker groups in other labor unions across the country. It turned out, those feelings were not restricted to young government workers, as young people all across the nation were feeling the strain of working harder and harder to achieve an American dream that seemed more and more unachievable. And thus, the young worker March was born. Worker organizations from all across the USA became partners, as well as organizations who have an interest in the future of labor. And even when the weather dropped to -1 degrees Fahrenheit on the day of the Young Worker March, the labor movement weathered the cold and showed up to demand more!
